BSC/MSc final projects available

I am currently looking for BSC/Msc students for final projects. The projects will develop in my group "AI for complex and traffic flows" and involve an exciting mixture of fundamental physics research and technological development. They are addressed to IT & computing enthusiasts willing to face state-of-the-art research challenges.

Possibile topics are in the following directions:

• statistical mechanics of complex flows and traffic
• fluctuating systems regulated by cooperative global optima and/or competitive Nash-like equilibria
• machine learning for dynamical (chaotic) systems, swarm-dynamics-based computing
• numerical simulation of discrete and continuous large-scale interacting systems
• computer vision for large-scale crowd tracking
• machine learning-based discovery from sparse datasets
